Filterability of Some Philippine Commercial Sugars

Shafiq, M. and Dr. Samaniego, R.  1974.  Eleven samples of raw sugars were collected from different factories and were analyzed for their filterability and the filtration-retarding impurities contained in them. Relative filterabilities of raw sugars were estimated using an Elliot’s test filter and starch, SiO2, wax, gum and P2O5 contents in raw sugars were determined.
