Control of Foam and Scale in the Alcohol Industry

Pulido, M.L., Massey, M.A., et.al. 1979.  Busperse 48 and Busperse 53P are two defoamers applied to the surface of the foam. These break the orientation of the surfactant substances in the foam as well as being incorporated in the liquid phase to induce the coalescence of small gas bubbles into larger ones which rise faster and rupture as they reach the interface air-liquid. Busperse 49 is a liquid scale control aid. Control of Foam and Scale in the Alcohol Industry. Sugar y Azucar, April 1979:21-25.
