CHINA: SUGAR PRODUCTION AT 10.31 MILLION TONNES THROUGH MAY

As of the end of May, China produced a total of 10.31 million metric tonnes of sugar, 9.16 million tonnes of cane sugar and 1.15 of beet sugar, reports Sugaronline

From October 2017 to May 2018 China sold a total of 5.75 million tonnes of sugar with a sales rate of 55.76%, which includes 4.81 mmt of cane sugar and 941,500 tonnes of beet sugar. 

Looking at the details, Guangxi province produced a total of 6,025,000 tonnes of cane sugar, Yunnan province produced a total of 2,064,800 tonnes of cane sugar (still crushing), Guangdong province produced a total of 871,300 tonnes of cane sugar, Hainan province produced a total of 172,200 tonnes of cane sugar, other province produced a total of 21,200 tonnes of cane sugar. 

Xinjiang province produced a total of 541,100 tonnes of beet sugar, Neimenggu province produced a total of 480,000 tonnes of beet sugar, Heilongjiang province produced a total of 70,600 tonnes of beet sugar, other province produced a total of 58,000 tonnes of beet sugar.
