 WHEN
passersby see lush sugarcane fields, truckloads of cut canes, and smoke
from mill stacks reaching up to the sky, they are reassured and feel a
certain comfort that all is going well.
 Little do they realize
the role played by Philsurin in helping keep this prosperity thrive.
We, by the side
of the sugar industry know what it takes to produce sugar from the canepoints
planted in the fields to the sugarcane stalks milled in the factories.
Philsurin is a team of individuals committed to the pursuit of providing
essential scientific information and state-of-the-art technology to the
industry.
A combination of
attitude, hard work, dedication and vision ensures the Foundation’s
success in its research endeavors.
Every individual,
each with different duties and responsibilities has earned the right to
be proud, fulfilled and satisfied on a job well done.
Philsurin recognizes
performance. It rewarded four outstanding MDDC coordinators in 2001 with
a trip to observe sugarcane agriculture in Thailand. Deserving staff are
sent for scholarships or training abroad.
The compensation
package of its people are comparable or better than other similar institutions
in the country.
The organization
looks after its people. They reciprocate it with their loyalty and hard
work.
In six years since
its organization, Philsurin has made impressive gains in the development
of sugarcane production technology.
Philsurin is not
only supporting the sugar industry, it is making history.
